The passage of Labor Day means another summer movie season has come and gone, and as is tradition here at the MovieFilm Podcast, we’re taking the opportunity to look back and take stock. From Avengers: Infinity War to The Incredibles 2, from Solo: A Star Wars Story to Skyscraper, from Ocean’s Eight to The Meg, the summer was stocked mega-blockbusters, would-be-hits, pleasant surprises, and outright bombs, and we have some thoughts on the critical and box office fortunes of all of them. But that’s not all! We also remember the late Burt Reynolds, speculate on the future of the James Bond franchise now that director Danny Boyle has bailed, and much more! As always, you can stream the whole thing below, or listen via iTunes or Stitcher or iHeartRadio. Also, make sure to visit our Facebook page or e-mail us at email@example.com to let us know how we’re doing!
One of the biggest, most exciting, announcements that Disney has put forth is the creation of a Star Wars themed hotel that will be full immersive and envelope you in a story. While we have had some minor details here and there, there is so much more mystery surrounding the project. In the past we have been given solid information about some of the behind the scenes and they have proven true. That information has come to us again and we have decided to share it in good fun. Nothing is concrete of course and things may change but what we are being told is REALLY exciting and this week we will discuss. In addition to all of that we will preview this year's HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS at Universal Studios Orlando, aka THE BEST EVENT IN ORLANDO.

Join me for a conversation with Author Lyn Ragan, Lyn knew at the age of fourteen that she would write a book one day. She subscribed to True Crime and True Detective, reading each edition faithfully while plotting her fiction novel she never wrote. Twenty-five years later, she met the love of her life never thinking she'd be involved in a real-life crime. After her fiancé's murder, she followed his guidance by way of ADC's, (After Death Communications) and penned their first two books, Wake Me Up! Love and The Afterlife, and, We Need To Talk: Living With The Afterlife.

Nock this one down for the ages: Doctor Aphra Annual #2 was a true gem, not just because of Winloss and Nokk, but as a prime example of how an annual can advance a regular series, too.
Similarly, the action in Star Wars #53 did not disappoint, with the hyper pace akin to jumping into hyperspace.
Join Jeff and Matt as they explain why in the latest episode of the podcast

World Between Worlds and Sith.
Star Wars Rebels introduced us to the World Between Worlds, a metaverse where a Force User could see, and be connected to, the past and the future simultaneously. Inspired by a debate between Henry Gilroy and Timothy Zahn at a Dragon Con panel, John & Matt contemplate whether the Sith ever could have opened a door to this space between moments, and what that would have meant.

As Sondheim wrote, "Art isn't easy," but listening to people across the globe talk about it is! Our selection of shows that fall under the art umbrella is unparalleled, because we've got the world's most beloved authors, most talked-about actors and truly groundbreaking artists discussing their work, their influences and the creative process. On any given day, join in conversation with bestselling novelists, with museum curators on major fine art exhibits, with directors and writers whose films are the talk of Sundance or Cannes, with newsmakers whose latest works are changing the face of photography, mixed media or interior design. Spoken word is also voiced here, and other forms of poetry, as are journaling, crafts and more. Yes, BlogTalkRadio is bursting with self-expression; so if you've got a creative passion you'd like to share with the world, why not host your own show? We'll have you know, that part is easy.
