9-10-18 eClosings/eMortgages Move Closer Towards Mainstream Adoption

    in Finance

In this episode of Lykken on Lending, the discussion will focus on eClosings and eMortgages as we're continuing on with one of the Hottest Topics in the mortgage industry right now: Digital Mortgages.
Brian Boike has over 18 years’ experience in bringing mortgage banking technologies to market. Before joining Simplifile, he served in leadership roles in operations and continuous improvement at Michigan-based United Shore Financial Services, whose portfolio of brands includes United Wholesale Mortgage and Shore Mortgage. Prior to that, Brian was the product manager of a loan origination system at FIS and also held management roles in application development and process improvement for Flagstar Bank.
Brian is a former chair of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) Residential Mortgage Technology (ResTech) Forum and Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization (MISMO) Residential Mortgage Governance Committee.
Topics to be covered in this interview include:
The industry has been talking about eClosings/eMortgages for over a decade now. Are we really at a point that we are going to start to see more mainstream adoption? There seemed to be a lot on interest back in 2008-2010. Why did things stall? In a recent report the Treasury Department endorsed eNotes. How will this help adoption? Other than what the Treasury noted in their report, are there adoption issues that need to be addressed? There's a lot about momentum starting to build, but what is the real benefit to the industry? Do lenders and consumers have to wait until all the adoptions issues have been addressed or can they get some benefit now? Read more

Straw Man "LSF9 Master Participation Trust" further exposed by Bill Paatalo

    in Finance

Bill Paatalo joins Attorney Charles Marshall today to provide more info and intell re the "LSF9 Master Participation Trust", rightly considered by Bill to be a straw man hiding the machinations of US Bank to obfuscate chain-of-title issues in loans ostensibly legally connected to US Bank trusts.
As part of our continuing expose on this issue, we will revisit the Wells Fargo v. Riley case, the Florida case in which Defendant Riley was granted in December 2017 a final judgment for Defendant against Wells Fargo. You will find that case in Florida's 15th Judicial Circuit, covering Palm Beach County, Case No. 50-2016-CA-010759.

    Suze Orman

    in Finance

It was at Borders Books on Chicago’s State Street where women and men were lined up literally around the corner to get a glimpse at the Money-Making Maven, Suze Orman. Signing autographs, smiling at strangers and shaking every hand that reached out to her made a successful book signing on The Road to Wealth.
This book hit the New York Times Bestseller’s list within its first weeks release, making Suze Orman a bona fide financial superstar! Suze shared with me, “Out of all the books I’ve written, I’m lovin’ this baby more than any of them! 9 Steps to Financial Freedom hit number one on the New York Time Bestsellers list which was an absolute phenomenon in itself but everybody said, ‘that’s not so hard – anybody can do that if you’re on Oprah 11 times.’ Courage to Be Rich comes out and goes right to number one on the New York Times Bestsellers list and everybody says, ‘oh, that’s not that hard – you had an entire PBS special behind you. Road to Wealth comes out and one week after it comes out without any publicity whatsoever except for 4 minutes on the Today Show which is not enough to make a New York Times Bestseller; it hit the New York Times Bestsellers list within one week! What that says to me is that people are buying me now not being sold to me.”
