    in Politics Progressive

It is becoming painfully clear that my country, on several levels, is approaching some very, very difficult times. I have some difficulty ranking them. How about you? What do YOU see?
Among the items on my list is an awareness that citizen having a conversation about any of the items on my list is becoming more difficult, more scarey both in public and private to even attempt. The division in America is complete, and the two sides are not discussing anything. As citizen, we have many imperative issues to address, and begin to solve. This episode is my small effort to do so.
The show will work if YOU participate as citizen, regardless of which side of the division you happen to be on. For what I believe to be an accurate historical moment in our national history, study the USA in the spring/fall of 1859. Failure of citizen to engage in civil discourse during those days resulted, as could well have been projected in advance, in the beginnng volleys of the American Civil War.
While many thousands of our fellow citizens cannot participate, because they have lost all they own, have no power or communications across all the American geographic properties, their fellow citizens are coming to their aid to help them clear debris--for a price triple what FEMA will pay for. Is this who we are, today?
I want to know what YOU think. Please feel free to join the live conversation which begins at 2:00 PM Central. Join our lively chat room and converse with your fellow citizen (Remember the 2 rules!).

  • Eleven Dollar Bills Live

    in Military

Join us this week as we welcome the rock band, Eleven Dollar Bills. The band is fearlessly led by the street-smart lion-hearted Jordan Casty. Jordan was born and raised in the concrete jungle of Chicago and his influence came straight up through the cracks in the streets. After playing and singing bluesy Rock n Roll through his high school years, Jordan ventured off to Boston to study guitar, vocals, and songwriting at Berklee College of Music. While in attendance at Berklee, Jordan fell in love with the lyrical style of Bob Dylan and put together a blues rock outfit with the name Eleven Dollar Bills as an homage to one of Dylan's lyrics. Upon graduating, The Bills set out on a tour of the USA they dubbed The Heroes' Journey. They hit iconic stages in Los Angeles and New York. They played dives in Texas and college campuses in Indiana. On return to to Chicago they they had a legendary moment where they were heard on NPR’s “Here & Now” and Local Loop Chicago called them “a rising star of the music scene.” There was nothing though that could stop them from the call of LA. Upon their arrival there they quickly got to work playing venues from Viper Room on the Sunset Strip, to The Craftsman in Santa Monica, to Sayers' in Hollywood. Along their journey, they caught the attention of platinum-selling producer Jim Huff. 6 months of studio life later, they now have a brand new EP full of killer sonic experiences to unleash on the ears of the world. We will talk to them about their upcoming schedule, get a behind the scenes look at their music, feature their latest songs, and ask them to share their message for the troops. Please visit Eleven Dollar Bills at http://www.billsband.com/ and spread the word. Fans are welcome to call in and speak live with them during the show (718) 766-4193. Our message to the troops: WE do what we do, because YOU do what you do.

  • Episode 403: Hezbollah, Israel, Syria, Lebanon and What's Next

    in Military

As the Syrian conflict enters what looks to be its end game, one old player on the scene is emerging stronger than it has ever been, a point of concern for all the nations in the area.
How has the Syrian civil war changed Hezbollah and her allies, and what does it signal about the post-war order?
To discuss this and related issues will be our guest for the full hour, Sulome Anderson.
Sulome is journalist and author based between New York City and Beirut, Lebanon. An alumna of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. She writes regularly for publications including Newsweek, The Atlantic, New York, Harpers, Foreign Policy, VICE, Village Voice and Vox.com. Her first book, The Hostage’s Daughter was published in 2016.
We will use her latest article, Hezbollah’s New Strength Leaves Israeli Border Tense, as a starting off point for our conversation.

  • NWCR Radio on Conservative Nation Radio #334 ISIS or ISIL? What's difference?

    in Politics Conservative

Ever since Obama, we have heard ISIS or the Islamic State of Syria called ISIL.  What what exactly is the difference and why isn't it ISIL?  When you call it ISIL you include Isreal.  And Israel is NOT, part of ISIS.  The onlly way Isreal will become part of ISIS is if Israel loses a war to ISIS and becomes Islamic.  That will not happen.  Isreal is NOT Islamic and Islam or ISIS hates Isreal and wants to destroy her.  The world will be a much more dangerous place if that happens folks.  So, don't call ISIS, what Obama did.  It isn't ISIL.  It is ISIS.  The Islamic State
What Obama was doing when calling it ISIL was including the land of Levant.  That includes Israel.  That is not what you want to do.
